The third season of 99Damage Masters kicks off on Thursday, with eight teams duking it out for the first prize of $10,000.

Following the end of the five Arena Cups of the current season, the four teams who amassed the most points have now moved on the Masters competition, in which they are joined by four invited sides.

The tournament will kick off with a best-of-three GSL group stage, which will be followed by the double-elimination playoffs to determine who takes the lion's share of the $20,000 prize purse.

zqK's Keyd Stars will face Vexed Gaming in the first round

A last-minute change to the participants' list sees Lounge Gaming replaced by the new Keyd Stars team, who are bootcamping in Portugal. The Polish team, formerly known as Dobry Gaming, decided to withdraw from the tournament as they will focus on preparing for DreamHack Open Stockholm.
